Testimonials
Building a good life in Japan is more than a rising career path. A good life includes making a home for you and your family.
When you tell a visitor to your home welcome to MyHouse, say it with conviction and pride.
Interview with Yoshida-san
Q: Why did you decide to buy this house?
A: Mostly, because I liked how the house feels so open and airy. The living room is so big! The high ceilings in the bedrooms bring in the light wonderfully. I’m loving my roomy walk-in closet.
The colors were what I wanted. The color of the flooring is very special. I like that the doors and walls are both white. Usually, the colors are different, but I prefer the same color.
The counter beside the dining room has been so practical. It’s a good place for the kids to study, and a useful workspace for me. Plus it is convenient for storing things under it like toys and books.
The counter in the raised tatami corner has become useful for our home computer station. This tatami space, though part of the living room, is separate enough for a nap, reading, play area, and many other uses.

It was fascinating to see Melinda evolve our house design. It was like she was putting together a jigsaw puzzle without looking at the final picture. She’d put together the “pieces” like bathroom next to bedrooms, open living area, biggest window facing the best view, two car parking, and so on till we could see the final picture of the layout.
I liked being able to choose where the electrical outlets went. We don’t need so many extension cords now. My wife and I both like the built-in features. She really likes the extra counter in the dining area and decoration niche at the entrance. I like having an American-sized walk-in closet. I finally have a convenient place to hang my clothes. My wife really enjoyed going through the catalogs for wallpaper and such. I just made sure there wasn’t too much white throughout the house.
My wife and I looked at houses for years without finding what we wanted. We couldn’t get location, budget, and design to come together. Finding MyHouse changed our perspective. They could control for us the budget and design, and even helped us find a good location near one of the stations on our list.
Interview with Takano-san
We were looking for a house with a big living room close to the station. No other company made such a nice and spacious living room. I also liked the tatami space by the living room. It has been very practical and beautiful.
